We are an active Montana family living the dream in Northwest Montana with our 3 young children.
Being an avid animal lover, I spent my time growing up dreaming of raising horses, cows and well bred dogs.
We don't always get to live ALL our dreams, but with hard work and dedication we have moved on toward meeting those dreams :)
I grew up with hunting dogs of different breeds, but once I seen my first Boykin years ago...I knew in my heart I had a bias and favorite all time breed. These LBD's have been the PERFECT fit for our home and lifestyle.
We started our breeding program with our little gun dogs of the west, 'Annie' and 'Oakley' and what awesome little dogs!
We love to spend our time in the mountains, mushroom hunting, picking huckleberries, foraging, shed hunting, boating, fishing, and, of course, hunting!
We take pride in our dogs, and do whatever we can to produce healthy, happy, well rounded companions for a lifetime.
I am a strong believer in the fact that the first 12 weeks is the MOST CRITICAL time in a puppy's/dogs life! And, based on that, I try to make it a point to both stimulate and socialize my puppies from day one, following a mixutre of Puppy Culture and Baddass Breeders protocals as a guide (And adding my own twists ;) We want you to have a happy, healthy, well-rounded, smart dog that will give you joy for years to come!
(If you haven't heard of Puppy Culture, I highly recommend you to at least look in to it...it is simply astounding what differences you as a new 'puppy parent' can make for your dogs success within the first couple weeks of coming home!)
Our dogs aren't just dogs, but companions that we include in our lives as much as we can, from hiking, to biking, to camping, to road trips. Because they are water dogs we also try to get our puppies used to playing in water, but that is also dependent on condition of the weather.
All our dogs have been tested and cleared on the Boykin Spaniel Society (BSS) recommended dna tests.
Puppies will be up to date on shots, tails properly docked, due claws removed, and micro-chipped with a lifetime enrollment in AKC reunite.

Jasper is our very active, attentive, Intelligent and happy man. With a GORGEOUS head and very strong retrieve drive! He loves to chase birds, but will also sit on the porch looking in the widow waiting for his beloved humans to either let him in, or come outside. Jasper's mother came from Nancy Boykin-who's husbands uncle was the famous 'Whitt Boykin' that trained and started the whole Boykin breed.
Annie is my sweet, mild tempered, loyal, friendly, Houdini! If you would stop in, she would be the first to greet you, with something in her mouth to play fetch with! She is very quiet, and it would have to be a pretty nasty boogie man to get her to bark, but don't let her sweet quiet personality fool you...her heart and drive is as big a

She is very quiet, and it would have to be a pretty nasty boogie man to get her to bark, but don't let her sweet quiet personality fool you...her heart and drive is as big as Montana skies, and believe me...if she wants to go through something (or out of somewhere!) she WILL do it! She is a favorite among our visitors, and has that Boykin adaptability to where she can be a calm couch potato, or go hard at it all day long. She does exceptionally well with Children (lets face it, they ALL do!) and it isn't uncommon for me to find her locked in the dryer, or closet, or stuck on top of the wood stack with my 3 year old who claims her as his sidekick
Oakley is our 'forever young' 'lady in the tramp' looking, sweet, playful, friendly, girl.
A full litter-mate to Annie, Oakley has the same mild mannered, quiet but loving, temperament.
She also has a 'I will go through anything' attitude and at not even 6 months old had climbed up above 6' in our very straight, very tall blue spruce tree

Oakley lives with some friends of ours as a pet , so she gets all their love and attention all to herself, and she gets comments all time on her 'cuteness' while going on walks with her '2nd' mommy and their little boy.
